We’ve Found Another Way to Build Community: the Kennett Community Grocer!  This new co-op enterprise will be member-owned and will be providing (at a minimum) food from over 300 growers in DE, MD, NJ and Lancaster County. You are invited to join at Kennett Community Grocer and the bottom shows a typical co-op display that is so right: fresh vegetables stacked up, not packaged in plastic, so members can bring their own cloth, paper or even reusable plastic bags and containers, producing much last plastic waste. We received our first produce box last Saturday (until the store is located and built), and it was full of surprises: beautiful, perfect carrots, kale, napa cabbage, daikon radishes, broccoli, and artisan gifts! As members of the “non-store, aka future store” members can order produce boxes like community-supported-agriculture, CSA, members would. Our membership fee of $300 is seed money to help the project move toward reality. We invite you who care about honest food at honest prices to become members too! ​
